Pipes & Cisterns ( पाइप तथा टंकी )

  1. दो नल A तथा B एक टंकी को क्रमशः 24 मिनट
    एवं 32 मिनट में भरते हैं । यदि दोनों नल एक साथ
    खोल दिए जाये तब B को कितने समय बाद बंद
    कर दिया जाना चाहिए ताकि टंकी 18 मिनट में भर जाये ?
    Two taps A and B fill the tank in 24 minutes and 32 minutes, respectively. If both the taps are opened together, then how long the B should be closed so that the tank is filled in 18 minutes?
  2. दो नल P तथा Q एक टंकी को क्रमशः 24 मिनट एवं 32 मिनट में भरते हैं । यदि दोनों नल एक साथ खोल दिए जाये तब P को कितने समय बाद बंद कर दिया जाना चाहिए ताकि टंकी 16 मिनट में भर जाये ?
    Two taps P and Q fill the tank in 24 minutes and 32 minutes, respectively. If both the taps are opened together, then how long the P should be closed so that the tank is filled in 16 minutes?
  3. दो पाइप A तथा B एक टंकी को क्रमशः 30 मिनट तथा 40 मिनट में भर सकते हैं । दोनों पाइपों को एक साथ चालू किया जाता है । यदि टंकी 24 मिनट में भरना हो तो, दुसरे पाइप को कब बंद करना चाहिए ?
    Two pipes A and B can fill a tank in 30 minutes and 40 minutes, respectively. Both pipes are opened together. If the tank is to be filled in 24 minutes, when should the second pipe stop?
    (a) 6 min  (b) 8 min  (c) 10 min  (d) 12 min
  4. दो पाइप A तथा B एक टंकी को क्रमशः मिनट तथा 45 मिनट में भर सकते हैं । दोनों पाइपों को एक साथ चालू किया जाता है । यदि टंकी को ठीक आधे घंटे में भरना हो तो, पाइप B को कितने समय बाद बंद करना चाहिए ?
    Two pipes A and B can fill a tank in  minutes and 45 minutes, respectively. Both pipes are opened together. The tank will be filled in just half  an hour, if the pipe B is turned off after:-
    (a) 5 min    (b) 9 min    (c) 10 min  (d) 15 min
  5. एक बर्तन को दो पाइप से अलग अलग क्रमशः 20 तथा 30 मिनटों में भरा जा सकता है । दोनों पाइप खोल देने पर पहला पाइप कब बंद किया जाना चाहिए कि बर्तन दस मिनट के बाद भर जाए ?
    A vessel can be filled separately by two pipes in 20 and 30 minutes respectively. When the two pipes open, when should the first pipe is stopped so that the vessel be filled after ten minutes?
    (a) 20 min        (b) 8 min    (c) 10 min  (d) 12 min
